Evelyn Sharma shares beauty secrets on how to pamper your skin to get the soft and supple look and be prepared for that special date.

Maintain a daily skincare ritual: To keep your skin healthy, a good cleansing, toning and moisturising routine is essential, twice a day. Start with cleansing daily with a natural based cleanser, followed by toning, to keep your skin hydrated. The last and the prime most important thing is to moisturise your skin. Coconut based moisturisers are the best, since coconut contains properties similar to body oils, it gets absorbed quickly and replenishes the lost moisturizer, keeping the skin nourished all day.

•    Healthy Hair:  Ensure to nourish the hair with coconut based oil for naturally healthy, soft and bouncy hair. I generally like to keep my hair pulled back in a bun/side plaits or ponytail.

•    Watch what you eat: Add lots of fruits, green vegetables and fiber rich food in your diet, apart from maintaining your weight this also helps in achieving a healthy skin. Also drink a lot of water, as it keeps the skin hydrated and cleans the toxins from the body. Coconut provides quick energy and hydration.

•    Nature’s help: Use natural ingredient for your skin. To revitalise your skin, use natural fruit-based moisturisers. Coconut-based products are fantastic for the skin as it really penetrates right into the skin, making it soft and supple.

•    Work out: Exercise, yoga and aerobics are great ways to de-stress and relax the muscles, it promotes healthy circulation and also helps keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Exercise eases stress, which can directly affect you skin.

•    Rest: Last but not the least, take timeout to relax. Meditation is important. Take out ten minutes in a day and away from the hustle bustle and spent time by yourself. This helps to calm your senses. Sleep is free cosmetic medicine and very essential for a healthy skin. Without a good night sleep, one begins to look tired and the skin is the first to show it!
