Reebok reasserts ‘Fit For Life’ with two new CrossFit Gyms

Reebok, the world’s primary fitness brand has launched the new Reebok CrossFit gyms in Delhi. With the aim of changing the way people perceive, define and experience fitness, Reebok started the first two studios and received a great response.

On the back of this success, Reebok has also launched a new studio in Colaba, Mumbai recently. The new Reebok CrossFit Gym is located at SportsFit, Ambience Mall, a 15000 sq.ft gym and fitness centre, Vasant Kunj.

Reebok CrossFit, the rigorous workout regime is designed in a way that people could understand that this fitness movement is all about community, competition, camaraderie, and results.

CrossFit, which is primarily a form of sport combines sprinting, gymnastics, powerlifting, kettlebell training, weightlifting, rowing, and medicine ball training, among other activities. Reebok has successfully infused the elements of sports into fitness. It has been called “The Sport of Fitness” as it re-introduces personal athletic achievement and performance to training, with the mindset to be stronger, faster, more efficient, and with better form for each workout. This new form of workout is fast gaining popularity amongst athletes, sportsmen and the glamour industry.

The Reebok CrossFit workout is great for anyone who can’t afford the luxury of a trainer, as this is a group exercise and the experienced trainers, who head the CrossFit programme at all the centres, make sure that everybody is getting a good workout. Since it works every muscle in the body, it’s a great overall workout and gives you an evenly toned body. It is a short but intense work, which is also great for someone who cannot commit too much time at the gym.

Austin Malleolo, Reebok CrossFit1 Head Coach, present at the launch in Delhi and Mumbai, says, “It is very exciting there are two new gyms opening. With the expansion of CrossFit gyms in India, more and more people will be able to have the opportunity to try CrossFit and see how it can fit into their life. The power of the CrossFit Affiliate is immense. Now we are starting to connect the people of India with the CrossFit community. These gyms will lay the  foundation for fitness in this country and will become the standard for other gyms to live up to when they open up. It is exciting to be pioneering new territory! ”

Indian under 19 Cricket Captain, Unmukt Chand believes that fitness is an integral part of any sport and is conscious that this can be a key differentiator at international levels in sport. He has displayed phenomenal performance at the World Cup and other tournaments, and he attributes most of his results to his rigorous fitness regime which gives him the stamina and strength to sustain during long games.

Unmukt Chand, addressing the media at the launch says, “Being fit is the most important aspect of any sports person. As a cricketer I need to have a lot of stamina, agility, alertness and speed on the field. The newer form of workout regimes like Reebok CrossFitensures complete training in all these areas. Since this form of work out does not involve a lot of gears and equipment, it is extremely handy for sportspersons and athletes. I personally appeal to all youngsters to focus on fitness from an early age as it will give long lasting results and will also become an essential part of your life.”

SportsFit is a fitness brand with a different approach, as it just does not offer the regular good-to-look-at beautiful body fitness solution, but also offers a fitness regime that breeds athletes.

SportsFit intends to “Develop Bodies That Perform As Good As They Look.”
