ROCK VEDA, a progressive fusion band that coalesces the natural emotion of Indian classical music with a creative contemporary mix, is reaching new heights, hitting original compilations for music aficionados. After a successful show at Amarrass Desert Festival, Kabul, the lead vocalist and the band ROCK VEDA released its very own composition,‘NAINA’, at the country’s biggest literary festival, JAIPUR LITERATURE FESTIVAL, where some of the most reputed authors and music artists from all over the world come together to bring out to the world their point of view through words and music combined which was held on January 25, 2013 at Hotel Clarks.                                                                                                                                                         

Amidst all the folklore and traditions, band ROCK VEDA is also ready to be a part of the festival season of Delhi University taking the students to whole new semester that is only about MUSIC at Lady Sri Ram College’s annual cultural festival, TARNAG on the 8th of February, 2013.

With a new wave of soulful sufi music taking the country by storm, Singer Kabul and band ROCK VEDA, known for their versatility, are ready to flaunt the amalgamation of melody and tradition with the most renowned sufi artists from all over the world. This event will take place at the WORLD SUFI SPIRIT FESTIVAL to be held in Jodhpur on 23rd February 2013 at Mehrangarh Fort. This melodious odyssey of sufi and deep rooted classical compositions will take you on an extraordinarily sacred and historical musical journey.

About Band ROCK VEDA:


Kabul, a singing sensation is the vocalist of the band. He has been trained under singing maestro Ustad Ghulam Sabir Khan Saheb. He has shared the stage with the versatile singer Shafqat Amanat Ali. With a strong Indian classical music training, Kabul’s versatile voice easily transcends from soulful sufi, hindustani classical, raw earthiness of folk to the foot tapping popular chartbusters. He puts his soul in each song and sings each composition with complete perseverance.

Fateh Ali Khan is a well known name in sitar in the world of Indian classical music. He created a new story in his book of success when he performed with Lady Gaga recently in India.

Vishal a rhythm maestro in genres of rock, jazz, fusion, funk and his drumming skills have been admired and applauded at several live concerts across India by renowned artists like, Farhan Akhtar, Ali Zafar, Aditi Singh Sharma, amongst others.

Kamal is a keyboard player, who has been conquering the Delhi music circuit quite well, while spreading his prowess on the national level. His musical experiments range from choir, fusion, rock, Indian classical.

Deepak is the bassist of the band who has gathered the much needed live-playing experience, which runs in his blood! He has been trained under Bass Guru, Mr. Brennon Damfer. In less than a decade’s time, Deepak has played at the some of the remarkable music festivals and concerts all over India.

Shubhanshu stormed into music nearly a decade ago and has been widely recognised. Started playing guitar at the age of 13, the sheer quantum of his guitar talent never fails to leave the hardest of critics spellbound with his melodic and technical approach.

Amaan Ali belongs to above sixth generation of traditional musical family of Moradabad gharana He has an uncanny knack of striking an instant rapport with the audience. He has also accompanied many eminents artists like Shubha Mudgal, Begum Abida Parveen, Yesudas, Pandit Madhup Mudgal, Ustad Ghulam Sabir khan, Murad Ali Khan, Ustad Hussain Baqsh, Raj kumar Rizvi, Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Ustad Mohd Hussain.
