Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend all set to woo the viewers

The much awaited Bollywood extravaganza, Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend is all set to woo the viewers with its official television telecast. IIFA in association with Videocon d2h has taken the ceremony to new heights of entertainment. Initiatives like Videocon IIFA Super Entertainer of the Year Award, amalgamation of Bollywood with Hollywood along with the super entertaining hosts Farhaan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor who made everyone laugh, the ravishing Deepika Padukone who made Kevin Spacey tap to lungi dance, and Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan who shook a leg with the iconic John Travolta, Videocon d2h IIFA weekend 2014 was bigger and better in all forms. 

The scintillating award show, which is aptly titled “Oscars of Bollywood” was held in Tampa Bay, Florida, and brought a bit of Bollywood to the heart of Hollywood. The elaborate award ceremony was given an entertaining kick-start with Videocon d2h IIFA Weekend that invigorated everyone. 

In its 6-year long-standing relationship, Videocon and IIFA have been growing from strength to strength, delivering nothing but excellence. Right from their inception, both have striven to deliver the best to appeal to a larger spectrum of audience. At the Green Carpet rendezvous, Bollywood superstars were asked who has been their inspiration and who do they owe their success to? Speaking on the concept, Anirudh Dhoot said, “It was absolutely heartwarming to hear them talk about their inspirations and what gets them moving. The concept was unique and was in synergy to Videocon’s core values and commitment, to bring inspiring and innovative product range.“

Apart from the usual awards, there was a special award category, Videocon IIFA Super Entertainer of the Year Award. Sponsored exclusively by Videocon this year, the award was bagged by the versatile Deepika Padukone, for her spectacular performances in Chennai Express. “Ms. Padukone undoubtedly was the stunner of the evening. With her stellar performances in some of the biggest hits in 2013, she has won hearts of many and hence, was chosen as the Videocon Super Entertainer of the year. We are delighted to give away the award to her and congratulate her for her contribution to the Hindi cinema.” added Anirudh Dhoot.

Videocon d2h launched its latest innovation, India’s 1st DTH Radio Frequency Remote with Earphones during the Videocon d2h IIFA Magic of the Movies. The launch was done by their new brand ambassador, Bollywood superstar, Parineeti Chopra, along with Vir Das in an extremely interactive manner on stage. Now with this product, audiences can enjoy a private TV viewing experience by just plugging in their earphones in the RF Remote. Also with this RF Remote, direction, obstruction and distance will no longer be an issue.
