Artist Vandanaa Taneja launched a series of paintings titled, The awaiting, The Leap, and Me and My Destiny. Vandana has been working with various mediums like oils, water-colours & mixed media for several years. Artists today are exploring new horizons venturing into new arenas and she is one of them exploring a theme, which is so unconventional.

“Painting is my meditation, my passion, my source of rejuvenating and satiation for the hunger of my soul. Each of my art pieces is my part, just as a mother; who is omnipresent, but very subtly in the individual identities of each of her children,” defines Vandana.

Vandanaa describes her paintings as:

The Awaiting - 36”x 48”, Oil on Canvas
Each one of us in our entire life time is continuously waiting for something or someone or some particular event to occur. However, irony is that we are wasting each precious golden moment simply waiting eagerly for a maybe once in a lifetime golden chance.

The Leap-36”x 48”, Oil on Canvas
The creative mind, be it in any sphere music, dance, art etc. always finds an outlet, an escape for its  being, from the mundane routine of day to day disciplined  existence and thus takes a leap into an all together different, surreal world of imagination.

Me And My Destiny- 36”x 48”, Oil on Canvas
Me and my destiny are constantly contradicting each other, I keep doubting my potential and this denial curbs and restrains my growth like unconscious chains tied to my feet; however, my destiny keeps proving me wrong and takes me on to the next higher level of self realization and in the process attainment and fulfillment of my worldly and spiritual milestones.

Through these paintings, she highlights the exuberance and positivity that one should always flaunt no matter how heavy the circumstances are as she firmly believes there is always a way to jump out of such situations.
