Q. No.1. What should I do if I want to become a model?
Ans. Download our online registration form to register as a model and send the documents as explained in the registration form alongwith your portfolio in a CD and a comp card to Models n Trends (a unit of Arty Ad-N-Design Pvt. Ltd.), A-9, Sector-5, NOIDA – 201301, UP. The details and photos of all applicants will feature on our website, www.modelsntrends.com. The photographs of best entries as decided by our eminent jury in each category (male/female) will feature in the “TOP MODELS” section of our fashion magazine, Models n Trends. The best entry of the TOP MODELS category will be the “MEGA MODEL”.
Q. No.2. What is the age group of the models who want to register?
Ans. We are accepting registration from the age group of 18-28 years.
Q. No.3. What about the other age groups?
Ans. We are considering having a section on kids, teens and middle age group models. Visit the website for this announcement.
Q. No.4. I don't live in Delhi, can I still register?
Ans. Absolutely! We work with models from all Indian cities as well as from other countries. The registration process is the same as at Question No.1.
Q. No.5. Do I need to have modelling experience?
Ans. Not necessarily, you do not have to have modelling experience to submit your registration form for model search.
Q. No.6. Is there a fee to submit along with the registration form?
Ans. Absolutely not! Models n Trends is dedicated to promote and fulfill the dreams of every model.
Q. No.7. Do I need a professional portfolio?
Ans. Definitely, you should have a good quality portfolio from a good photographer, as the portfolio is your gateway to a successful career. A good photographer can do wonders and will highlight the best in you. A model is short listed by future clients for meetings and auditions through the portfolio only.
Q. No.8. If I don’t have a portfolio, can I still register?
Ans. No, we advice that you get your portfolio done by a good photographer. Please check if he has good knowledge and expertise in portfolio shoots.
Q. No.9. How should I get my portfolio made?
Ans. Any good portfolio should be taken in at least five outfits out of which one should definitely be in a formal attire. The formal outfit can be a suit or sherwani etc. for a male and saree, lehenga or salwar etc. for a female.
For males, the other four dresses may be either jeans, trousers, shorts, briefs or cargos in combination with any T shirt, casual and formal shirt, jacket etc.
For females, the other dresses may be either mini, midi, skirts, jeans, pants, capris in combination with any tops, T-shirt, swimwear, bikini etc.
Q. No.10. What type of Photos shots should the photographer take?
Ans. Your photos should depict how you look naturally. Ideally, the following shots should be taken:
(a) Face, (b) Mid shot, (c) Full length, (d) Sitting shot (complete body) and (e) Photographer’s option.
Q. No.11. What should I take from the photographer as part of my portfolio?
Ans. (a) Two CD’s of the entire shoot, (b) Three contact sheets 8” x 12” (one contact sheet to have minimum 36 pictures,( c) Ten photographs of different views (8” x 12”) and (d) Comp Card (two designs) of the size 6” x 8”.
Q. No.12. How much will this type of portfolio cost me?
Ans. Models n Trends has worked out a special package with top photographers in Delhi who are experts at making portfolios. All you have to pay is rupees thirty five thousand only (Rs 35000/-).
Q. No.13. I don’t live in Delhi, which photographer should I get for the portfolio shoot?
Ans. We are trying to negotiate special packages (as done in Delhi) with prominent photographers across India. However, in the meantime, if you have selected a particular good photographer in your area, then please give us his particulars (address, mobile number and email) so that we can discuss the modalities and work out a special package for you.
Q. No.14. What about the wardrobe required for the shoot?
Ans. In majority of the cases, the aspirants wanting to get his portfolio shot prefers to have his own outfits because his own clothing would definitely fit better. Very rarely is an outside wardrobe asked for. As such it is not included in the package. However, Models n Trends advise you to use your own outfits. If required our photographers will arrange for these outfits at subsidised cost for you.
Q. No.15. Do I have to pay for the make up?
Ans. Not at all, the makeup is included in the above package.
Q. No.16. What are my chances of getting work assignments?
Ans. As discussed in Question No. 1, the photographs of best entries as decided by our eminent jury in each category (male/female) will feature in the “TOP MODELS” section of our fashion magazine, Models n Trends. The best entry of the TOP MODELS category will be the “MEGA MODELS”. Models n Trends magazine is a well read fashion magazine in India, USA, UK and other Asian countries. It is the preferred media to find new talent by the advertising agencies, fashion designers, fashion choreographers, theatre, film personalities and various professionals from the fashion and film industries. Q. No.17. Once I get the work assignment, will Models n Trends charge some money from me?
Ans. No commissions/charges whatsoever will be charged from you. All enquiries for work assignments will be passed to you directly.
Q. No.18. How should I contact the photographer recommended by you?
Ans. Please email us at info@modelsntrends.com so that as part of our special service, we will fix up your appointment with one of our empanelled photographers and inform you accordingly. To enable us to select which photographer suits your personality, please send us any four photographs by email.
Q. No.19. I have successfully filled up the “Models Search” registration form; have signed and put it in an envelope along with my portfolio in a CD and my comp card. Now tell me where to send it?
