Smirnoff, the world’s leading premium distilled spirit unveiled Smirnoff Black Couture Pour Homme, a line inspired by Smirnoff Black vodka  to capture the essence of Russian passion through a stunning all male collection designed by veteran menswear designer Arjun Khanna. Leading male models like Niketan Madhok, Shahwar Ali, Aditya Bal, Saahil Shroff, Tarun Arora, Rajneesh Duggal walked the ramp wearing this exclusive couture collection inspired by the Russia’s Cossack and Siberian heritage.

The fashion show was choreographed by choreographer Aparna Bahl who seamlessly wove the Russian theme with the ambience and décor while Arjun Khanna delivered a winning collection with unconventional twists given to timeless silhouettes. The detailing, embellishments and trimming on the clothes reflected the Russian theme in both the design as well as the fabric. Fine crushed velvets, wools, silks and leather and suede cutwork... inspired by the beauty and richness of Russian culture determined the sharp, edgy fall and fit of the garments. Embroideries added shimmer and texture to the splendour of the collection further heightened by the play with Black…black aubergene, black blue, black teal, with even the linings in 'shot black'.

Post the fashion show the tempo was further heightened with the amazing DJ Pearl belting out smash hits that kept Delhi’s who’s who partying the night away.

At the event Arjun Khanna said, “Smirnoff is a brand with great history. No. 55 is a tribute to Russian heritage, using traditional distillation methods. A drink that takes you back to the era of Tzars, giving form or expression to this great heritage was a challenge, as it has not been done before. It was this challenge to my creativity that inspired me to partner with Smirnoff”

Amrita Arora said “I am waiting for the bottles to come home as I don’t drink but my dad would enjoy it”. This was her fifth brand endorsement, the first being McLaren F1.
