Swarovski, the world’s leading producer of cut crystal for jewellery, fashion and interiors, presented SWAROVSKI RUNWAY ROCKS in Mumbai on 23rd April, 2008. Runway Rocks is an internationally acclaimed couture collection of spectacular catwalk jewels, commissioned by Swarovski from the most cutting-edge international designers – this time including a selection of Indian talent.

Celebrating the rarefied art of catwalk jewellery, RUNWAY ROCKS, provocative and inspirational, challenges conventions of jewellery, sculpture and body ornament, exploring form, volume, movement and light, finding new expressions for crystal creativity.

Giving this new collection a distinctive Indian richness, the high-profile line up of 14 new names taking part in RUNWAY ROCKS MUMBAI includes Indian based designers Manish Arora, Rohit Bal, Surily Goel, Farah Khan, Malini Ramani, Rocky S, Tarun Tahiliani, JJ Valaya and Suneet Varma, as well as International designers Collado Garcia, Zaha Hadid, Francis Mertens, Pippa Small, and the infamous “Mr Pearl”. Previous collection highlights from Philippe Ferrandis, Elizabeth Galton, Erik Halley, Christopher Kane, Linjing, Corto Moltedo, Jean Paul Gaultier, Luigi Scialanga, Philip Treacy, Lesley Vik Waddell, and Valentin Yudashkin complete the RUNWAY ROCKS MUMBAI line up.
