Known for their Peacock Woman collection, which has been a big hit with for formal wear, Falguni and Shane Peacock now presented a new label called ‘Spendthrift Couture’ for Spring/ Summer 2009 at Lakme Fashion Week which will give the modern trendy woman more fashionable choices.

The label is devoted to Gothic Clothing and the collection was a mix of the most interesting dresses, corsets, shirts, skirts, Jewellery and much more. The creations were very unconventional and completely aimed at the lady who wants to make heads turn as she enters a room full of people. 

Dresses with 3D flowers on the hem line, black and silver horizontal striped minis, tuxedo waistcoats, Lurex halter dresses, a navy will-power bubble mini, funky printed satin frocks, gold sequined halters, fake pinafore in black over flesh coloured chiffon, ruffled bodices for satin minis, appliquéd red hearts on the hemline and slogans on dresses – all created a line that was funky and fun.

The look was wild and wacky but at the same time very glamorous with silk, satin, velvet and chiffon, coming together for the most exciting line of formal wear that will make the wearer the talk of the evening. The prints, the styles the mix and match of silhouettes were the most innovative seen at a fashion show. 

Falguni and Shane Peacock once again scored with their new extraordinary fashion line ‘Spendthrift Couture’, which will appeal to women who dare to make a sensational style statement.
