Cellucom launches designer accessories by Raghavendra Rathore

Cellucom, India's leading retail chain for mobility solutions has launched its limited edition mobility accessory range exclusively designed by India's top fashion designer, Raghavendra Rathore. The announcement was made at a press conference on the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week, where Cellucom also announced its participation for the Fall-Winter 2009 season of Lakme Fashion Week.

Cellucom had created 'Second Skin'- a contest to invite the best and most creative talent in the country to design laptop and mobile accessories for their stores. The contest saw participation from leading designers from Lakme Fashion Week. Raghavendra Rathore emerged as the unanimous choice of the jury which comprised of experts from the world of telecom, fashion and media.

Cellucom will now roll out an exclusive range of designer mobile phone and laptop accessories designed by Raghavendra, which will include laptop skins, laptop sleeves, mobile slip-on cases and mobile jewellery. The accessories will be available at select Cellucom outlets across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Arun Nagar, MD & CEO, Cellucom Group, said, "We see great potential in the designer accessory business in India as sales of mobile phone handsets and laptops have seen consistent growth over the years and are slated to continue on its growth path in the coming years too. We are the first ones to venture into this category that is still untapped and look forward to reaping the benefits of an early start. Our plans are expansive and we aim to set the benchmark as high as possible for the industry to follow."

Cellucom also announced its plans for the Fall-Winter 2009 season of Lakme Fashion Week. As the Official Mobility Solutions Partner for the next season, Cellucom will have its own fashion show – a special preview of the latest range of products and designs offered by the company.
