The session at the first-ever Groom’s Studio, featuring Nikhil Mehra of designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil and Anaita Shroff Adajania, was held over a delightful high tea where guests witnessed an exclusive preview to Shantanu & Nikhil’s wedding couture collection designed especially for the upcoming Vogue Wedding Show 2016. The audience was also taken through the upcoming design trends for the wedding season along with some contemporary style tips for grooms. Nikhil went on to share details of his classic collection set to be showcased at the Vogue Wedding Show 2016 in Delhi, an eclectic mix of contemporary silhouettes in rich hues of midnight blue, greys and plum, through delicate ruffles, lace and sheerness, and ofcourse with the signature Shantanu & Nikhil drape.

Talking on the occasion, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Fashion Director, Vogue India, said, “The Vogue Wedding Show- Groom's studio has been conceptualized to pique the interest of consumers and give them some insight on what they can expect if they attend the Vogue Wedding Show in New Delhi. There's a huge movement taking place in the Indian wedding fashion landscape and I feel strongly that as a fashion magazine, it's important we help bridge the gap between India's designers, craftsmen and the market. The session with Nikhil was received well by the guests as they got to interact with the designer first-hand and were privy to some brilliant groom wear styling tips from them. We are looking forward to meeting to-be grooms and connecting with them again at the main show in August.”

Speaking at the Vogue Wedding Show Groom's Studio, designer Nikhil Mehra said “It is an honour to be a part of The Vogue Wedding Show 2016. It is undoubtedly a must-do on any bride’s and groom’s wish list and I am delighted to be a part of the first-ever Groom's Studio in Mumbai at our very own flagship store for men. Our collection caters to the young, trendy, stylish and vivacious populace of the world and this is a perfect opportunity for us to connect with the customers and unveil our new wedding collection that awaits them at the show in Delhi.”

About Vogue Wedding Show:

The Indian wedding market is rapidly growing at an annual rate of 25-30 per cent. While wedding fairs are a common feature in recent times, there is nothing that caters solely to affluent families with big marriage budgets. Identifying this need-gap, Vogue India’s exclusive, ‘by invitation only’ Vogue Wedding Show acts as the final arbitrator of luxury for discerning audiences, connecting them to the finest brands in the bridal space.

The Vogue Wedding Show, a specially curated exhibition by Vogue India, featuring the most luxurious and personalized wedding services, was launched in 2013. Given the overwhelming response it received, Vogue India launched The Vogue Bridal Studio in 2014, with an attempt to bring the city’s elite a preview of the main event in August and a chance to interact with distinguished representatives of the fashion and bridal couture industry. As an extension of the event, Vogue India has created the Vogue Wedding Book–a keepsake wedding directory featuring each participating brand editorially. Having a year-long relevance, the book is complementary with the September issue of the magazine.
