A major fashion show in the Spanish capital Madrid has excluded extremely thin models for fear of encouraging eating disorders. The Pasarela Cibeles show, which took place between September 18 to 22, announced that models must have a body weight index - weight divided by the square of the height - of at least 18. A model measuring 1.75 metres, for instance, must weigh at least 56 kg. Lights and makeup will also be used to make models look healthy, according to organizers. The daily El Mundo said 30 percent of applicants were excluded the show.
