Rathi Vinay Jha, director general, FDCI, is looking at fashion awards, mini fashion weeks at international venues. In fact, FDCI is looking at Dubai initially. Clearing the air on the controversies surrounding the recently concluded Indian Fashion Week, she said that designers do not realise that as per the government laws everything has different licenses and we would like to abide by the law. As far as issues with models were concerned, Rathi  demanded, “Designers are wrong in saying that they are not happy with the models. What kind of a designer are you if you can’t cater to all sizes."  She added, “We are going to get a lot stricter in our selection of designers for the main showings. If we are wooing the world, we better gear ourselves for it.”
