Inspired from the military style's collection, Sulakshana’s new collection has a smarter and characterised look, portraying the stronger side of women. The essence of the collection is Indian and the structure is contemporary. The techniques are indigenous and the treatment is modern.



The silhouettes are well constructed by traditional and western mixes to create a story. The detailed thread embroideries, patchwork and geometrical web's create luxurious surfaces in her collection.The fabrics used in this collection comprise of silk, chiffon, georgette and chanderi .


A limited fusion of jersey knit gives an extra edge to the collection.    
 

About Sulakshana Monga:



Born in the desert town of Bikaner, Sulakshana entered the field of designing 21years ago. Without any formal education, she started her first design sojourn in Delhi's Hauz Khas Village with only 5 workers. With hard work and determination, today she has more than 400 skilled workers. Sulakshana is a brand driven and inspired by charismatic Rajasthan. Her palette boasts of western sensibility, combined with in-depth knowledge of embroidery, as she works in direct contact with the craftsmen. She has been a part of various fashion events in India and abroad.
