'Kitchen of Awadh 'derived its name from the popular word 'Awadh' which is synonymous with Lucknow, 'the city of Nawabs' and  is considered to be the 'city of Gourmets'. Delicacies and varieties of  the restaurant can be traced back to a legacy that indulges in art of irresistible food.

 

'Kitchen of Awadh' is situated in a busy yet colourful shopping market, peppered with all sorts of different cuisine of India. The restaurant serves authentic Lucknawi cuisine paying a tribute to the traditional 'Dum Pukht' method of cooking with age old recipes.

 

The interior of the restaurant is essentially designed to suit the new age cosmopolitan nawabs, with the quintessential jaali  panels from Lucknow, brass lamps and light play chandeliers juxtaposed with solid wood benches creating a spacious and contemporary dine in arrangement.

 

Kamal Kumar Veer, the founder-chef explored the kitchens across Lucknow and learnt this dying art from the traditional master chefs and brought forth the best in the heart of Delhi.

 

In 2007 ‘Kitchen of Awadh’ was opened as a delivery outlet in South Delhi. With increaseddemand for its  signature items,Kitchen of Awadh launched its dining restaurant in  Gurgaon, Supermart 1.

 

‘The Kitchen of Awadh exists for a reason, to bear testimony to the traditional 'Dum Pukht' method of cooking with age old recipes.Charcoal and wood not only provide the heat but also add to the flavour. It is the saffron, rose and 'meetha itr' that finally bring out the aromas of the cuisine.
