Ice Pan Creamery now at DLF Place, Saket

Ice Pan Creamery, an all vegetarian Indian Ice cream brand, amidst much fan fair opened its 3rd outlet at the DLF Place, Saket, today. Benu Sehgal, Senior V.P., Mall Management, DLF Place, inaugurated the store in the presence of enthusiastic crowds who couldn’t wait to try the scrumptious desserts the brand has built its repute on.

 

The grand opening was a gala affair, which set the tone for a perfect summer carnival to beat the heat. As Children thronged the place to treat their mothers with several Mother’s day attractions, the store served a wide range of its offerings to its first customers as they enjoyed them with some jazz music.

 

This plush new outlet’s decor done with soothing powdered pastel colors also has a unique and exciting theme to it. “The DLF Place, Saket store is inspired by downtown circus since circus is the only place where you find kids and adults both enjoying the moment in the most playful manner,” Lav Trivedi, co-founder and renowned fashion stylist said.                       

 

The Ice Pan Creamery is co-founded by businessmen Lav Trivedi, Ujjwal Agarwal and Abhishek Agrawal,. With this brand, their vision is to offer its customers a blend of European-Indian desserts while retaining the magic of Grandma’s homemade cooking in their preparations. “Love for all is the most incredible truth and with this thought, our aim is to give our customers the ultimate experience of joy, love and celebration through our servings,” Lav Trivedi said.

Ami Behram Shroff is India’s first female mixologist champ

Cointreau, the original French orange liqueur, crowned Ami Behram Shroff as the first female mixologist champion at the finals of La Maison Cointreau India, the country’s first and only women bartending competition, held at the Leela Hotel, Gurgaon The competition was part of an Asia-Pacific regional mixology challenge by Cointreau to recognise visionary talents in the Indian cocktail industry. Ami will now represent India at the regional finals of La Maison Cointreau in Bangkok, Thailand in January 2015. 

 

After a fierce competition, incredible artistry and unrivalled creativity of exceptional cocktails, Ami Behram Shroff emerged as an undisputed winner among other leading female mixologists from the country. 

 

Ami mesmerised the esteemed panel of judges including Shatbhi Basu, India’s first woman bartender, Nandini Bhalla and Naina de Bois-Juzan by mixing a classic Cointreau cocktail Kamikazewith a glamorous twist and a unique cocktail Cointreauliciousthat completely delighted the judges. The eight final mixologists were judged on parameters such as knowledge of the original recipe, innovation with a recipe, bar set-up and efficiency, bartending skills and presentation of recipe and taste.

 

The eight finalists were shortlisted among 18 talented female bartenders across the country through a three-city semi-final held in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore last month. The contestants underwent stringent evaluation by honoured judges in the three cities such as Akriti Aggarwal, Karina Aggarwal and Minakshi Singh in Delhi; Rojita Tiwari, Suneeta Kanga, Shatbhi Basu in Mumbai and Priya Bala, Kaveri Sinhji, Jackie Pinto in Bangalore.

 

Commenting on the occasion, Rukn Luthra, Managing Director, Remy Cointreau, Indian sub-continent and Gulf said, “We are pleased to introduce La Maison Cointreau in India and receive such an overwhelming response from the evolving bartenders’ community in India and consumers. Ami rightly personifies the personality of an ideal Cointreauversial woman. The event was then followed by Cointreauversial evening including fun ‘Mystery Box Challenge’ amongst 8 trios, each with a mixologist, a lady blogger/journalist and a Cointreauversial woman. Each team wasprovided with a mystery box with bespoke ingredients and encouraged to be bold and imaginativeas they create a Cointreau cocktail that pushes all boundaries. Thisgave a great chance for the bartenders and guests to unveil their flair and creativity in cocktail creation.

Delhi’s latest address for a good lounging experience ‘Bulldogs’opened its doors, amongst much fanfare. The chill outside was no deterrent to the energy and the oomph of the guests who were all dressed to the nines running the glam meter to an all-time high. The affair, which went on till wee hours of the morning saw guests enjoying the expansive food and cocktail menu, including 15 different kinds of just hotdogs and ever lethal specialty cocktails made out of 12 spirits.

Authentic Lucknawi meal at the newly opened Kitchen of Awadh,

In 2007 ‘Kitchen of Awadh’ was opened as a delivery outlet in South Delhi. With increaseddemand for its  signature items,Kitchen of Awadh launched its dining restaurant in  Gurgaon, Supermart 1.
