Designers from Pakistan gathered to showcase "Fashion Extravaganza" at PFDC, The Boulevard

When it comes to fashion, there are no boundaries, which was particularly true at this fashion event that saw the coming together of Indian and Pakistani designers in attendance. The owner, Mini Bindra,  and her son  Sahibjit Singh Bindra, director of PFDC, The Boulevard (Pakistan Fashion Design Council) hosted a get-together soiree that saw prominent designers especially who participated at Lifestyle Pakistan 2014 held at PFDC, The Boulevard, South Extension-II, New Delhi. The plush evening saw well-known names from fashion and social circuit, such as Mansoor Ahmad Khan (Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan), Rabiya Javeri Agha (Secretary, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan), Saeed Tamimi (Fashion Head, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan), Pervez Lala (CEO of Lala), Shireen Arshad Khan (Chairperson, Ahan) Asif Bilwani (Director Marketing, Bonanza Garments Industries) Danish A Adamjee (COO -Khaadi).

 

Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Pakistan, said “Pakistan always wishes to have friendly relation with India in which fashion & trade play a vital role in bridging the gap between India and Pakistan."

 

Sahibjit Singh Bindra, director, PFDC, The Boulevard, said "We are overwhelmed to welcome designers from Pakistan at PFDC, The Boulevard. The idea of having this get together is to boost trade relation between India and Pakistan by making fashion the means of cultural exchange and bringing the very best of Pakistani fashion across the modern brides and others”.

An area of 5,500 square feet housing the exquisite creations of 18 of Pakistan’s most prolific designers in the heart of India’s Capital, PFDC - The Boulevard has a commonality is best reflected in the traditions and cultures of the two countries. Both countries have influenced each other’s clothing and fashion trends.
