Story n News - 11 new faces bedazzle the ramp at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2011 The jury at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week announced the names of 11 emerging female faces, short listed on the basis of all-India model auditions which took place at The Park, New Delhi.

These fresh faces will match shoulders with some of the industry’s leading female models and add to the exuberance of the event. This round of model auditions was an initiative to bring forward new talent and create a bright pedestal for the deserving fresh flairs in the fashion industry and showcase a variety on the runway, which is an integral part of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week.

The 11 New Female Faces that were chosen at the all-India model auditions for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter are:  Sony Kaur, Bhoomika Arora, Sangya Lakhanpal, Shreiyah Sabharwal, Olga Plotnikova, Ekaterina Ivanova, Iryna Kalikhevych, Mariia Cherniakovych, Karen Polina, Olga Rymarenko and Manizhe Karimi.Speaking on occasion, Sony Kaur, winner of the WIFW national model auditions, said, “I am very excited to be a part of the biggest fashion week of the nation. I am looking forward to gaining immense exposure while working with the best choreographers and showcasing the collection for the most renowned designers.”
 
“This is my first assignment in India. I am glad that it flags off with WIFW which is really a huge platform for upcoming models like us. I am really looking forward to working for the world renowned Indian designers,” said Iryna Kalikhevych, winner of the WIFW national model auditions.

These scintillating ramp scorchers were chosen and tested on various physical and attitudinal attributes by an eminent jury of experienced judges that included the likes of actor Jackie Bhagnani, model-turned actor Rahul Dev, designer Rohit Bal, Manav Gangwani, Nandita Basu, Rohit Gandhi, choreographer Aparna Bahl, model-turned actor Milind Soman and fashion editor Vinod Nair. The auditions included tough rounds of judging the young models on basis of confidence, fitness and elegance on the ramp. The winning models were handpicked from over 100 participants after three hectic sessions.

Announcing the winners of the auditions, Sunil Sethi, President, Fashion Design Council of India said, “Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is a platform that showcases not only the best of the modeling industry on the ramp, but also nurtures and promotes new talent. We look forward to these new faces becoming the muses of tomorrow.”

Atul Chand, Divisional Chief Executive, ITC’s Lifestyle Retailing, said, “The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is a great platform to recognize and nurture emerging talent.
