The Body Shop launches the Moisture White™ collection, a specialist collection of skin care brightening products containing the power of Shiso to improve the appearance of dark spots and discolouration at its source, even before hyper pigmentation begins.

The Body Shop carried out testing of the Moisture White™ collection on women in Japan to ensure the range meets strict Japanese regulations and whitening standards. These user trials highlighted the benefits of the collection, shown to whiten dark spots and freckles and provide skin brightening benefits.
The key ingredient, Shiso extract, has been especially chosen for this sophisticated collection. This Shiso plant has been used in the Moisture White™ collection, as it can reduce early melanin-making signals even before the hyper pigmentation process and melanin production cycle starts - helping prevent uneven skin tone, brown spots and freckles. By focusing on early melanin activation, Moisture White™ helps minimise dark spots formation and discolouration. The benefits of Shiso also mean that cells in the epidermis can improve the appearance of dark spots on the skin’s surface, so you can enjoy renewed skin confidence.

Community Trade Aloe Vera
The Body Shop works with a network of experts to source wonderful ingredients through the unique Community Trade programme. This fair trade extends to the organic aloe vera included in the Moisture White™ collection. The aloe vera is grown without the use of pesticides and is of the highest quality - natural, pure and preservative-free. It is hand-harvested, hand-washed and hand-filleted within 12 hours of harvesting, to ensure that its natural qualities are maintained throughout production. This trade benefits the farmers of El Progresso in Guatemala and the social fund has provided teaching aids to local schools. As a result of The Body Shop® Moisture White™ collection, the enterprising farmers in Guatemala who provide this aloe vera can plan for a brighter future.
