Smallshop Jason Anshu: Na Ati Not This. Symbols for Winter SS 10 are colour, air and lightness. Lip-clouds and polka dots, fudge hearts and candy petals bloom all over. Basic forms join, break up and regroup. Clusters suggest renewed purpose and cheerful contagions of colour seep and cross-fade everywhere.Silhouettes tug and swoop in opposing directions then are caught up in fanciful bows, petals on a shoulder or a hem. Ties tauten relaxed shapes in silk, organic silk and khadi caftan and balloon volumes. Shapes shift, not primitive-sinister, but watercolour-soft, body lines and billow. Side panels curve, asymmetrical hems dip. It,s yes and no, and less is morph.
