Mumbai based Biogenix, has launched an anti-bacterial perfume based deodorant, in four distinct odours, two each for men and women at Rs175 for a 150 ml can. For the first time in India, Biogenix has also launched a smart and tiny travel pack of all fragrances, for easy carriage.

Deo 1.6 is the first ever deodorant made in India, which is alcohol free and hence  gentler on the skin. It doesnot have the pungent smell of alcohol and is based on unique natural anti bacterial properties, pure essential oils and fine fragrances. Moreover it is paraben free, does not cause ozone depletion and is recyclable.
All that is the Ratio 1.6, ‘The Golden Ratio of Nature’ .

Staying true to the concept of Ratio 1.6, after which the brand has been named, Biogenix has attempted to achieve the golden proportion of nature in its deodorant’s composition.

The golden proportion or ratio of nature as 1.6, is commonly known and appears repeatedly in nature (the morphology of pine cones, starfish and sunflower, to name a few), geometry, art, architecture (such as the Panthenon in Greece) and many other areas. It is the subtle secret behind shapely pine cones, sunflowers and starfish. The golden ratio 1.6 or phi, is the delicate balance between elements that makes a composition pleasing and beautiful.  It is the most aesthetically pleasing ratio of nature, and Biogenix has packaged it in the form of a deodorant for men and women.

According to Ridhi Doongursee, chief executive, Biogenix, “ The company is manufacturing and bottling the deodorants in its own factory at Nagpur and Uttranchal. Deo 1.6 is expected to be on the shelves of at least 5 lakh stores within next 10 months, across the country. Through aggressive distribution and promotion, we hope to be one of the top five deo sellers in volume, over the next two years, by making the product available in every Mom & Pop stationery stores.”
