“The current collection comprises of general tone of an outfit that is sophisticated. The collection comprises of ruffled tops and high waisted skirts. A lot of free flowing silhouettes in flat chiffons have been used along with the digital prints for long shift dresses. A simple dress can make a resort casual outfit look glamorous. The Mughal opera would be my theme throughout this season” says designer Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor.

Collection colours used are nudes, metallic, muted cream and gold and a lot of fun vibrant colours. Fabrics majorly used are silk jersey, chiffons and metal embellishment.  Silhouettes in the western wear are hot and chic, giving it a name of resort collection with flying angels in digital prints,  a typical of Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor label.



As long as the outfit is sexy, yet classy fashion be it. Every new season collection delivers its own unique style. The collection will be unveiled during the India resort fashion week 2012, Goa.

After making ripples in the international arena with the launch of their stores in Hong Kong and New York, couturiers Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor launched their new store in Mumbai recently. Their international foray has put India firmly on the global fashion map, and reinforcing India’s branding as a fiercely competitive nation in the creative field as well.

They have studios in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Hong Kong, “We had a brilliant response for our couture from the fashionitas in Hong Kong that made us think seriously about expanding internationally.”
 


Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor also have the distinction of being the only Indian designers to be invited to the prestigious Malibu Foundation for Youth & Families Gala Dinner where they donated their most exquisite creation, a diamond and emerald couture bracelet, for auction. Guests present at the auction included Kenny G, Cindy Crawford, Janet and Martin Sheen, Mark Burnett with actress wife Roma Downey, among others. Their design headquarters in Noida, spreads over ten thousand square feet and sizzles with creative energy, fastidiously carrying the luxury label forward.
 


Their studio in South Delhi reflects their tress chic design sense. Their studio space wears a boudoir look, taking you back to the romance of France of the Renaissance era.
