adidas, the exciting sports brand gears up for the biggest sporting event in the world- the 2014 FIFA World Cup. With six months to go, to what is set to be the greatest football carnival, adidas introduces the ultimate pack of revolutionary football products.

Talking about what’s in store for the World Cup, Tushar Goculdas, Brand Director-adidas India said, “The ultimate football tournament comes to the home of football, Brazil- it does not get any bigger than this! This week, wekick off ourWorld Cup campaign withthe launch of an exciting line up of products. The essence of Brazil is represented through the most iconic symbol of the World Cup, Brazuca-the official match ball. Bringing more passion to the pitch are the team kits of the three biggest federations- Germany, Spain and Argentina. Finally, we will unleash our deadliest weapons - the samba pack, loaded with 3 cutting edge football boots that are set to take the beautiful game to a whole new level. This amazing array of products will be supported by a high impact multimedia campaign and thisis just the beginning of our journey on the road to Brazil.”

After being christened as “Brazuca” in September 2012, by over 1 million football fans, the official match ball of the 2014 FIFA World Cup is here. Brazuca, which means “the Brazilian way of life” was designed keeping this thought and reflects the vibrancy and flair associated with football in Brazil.

Brazucawent through a thorough testing process over a two and a half year period involving more than 600 of the world’s top players and 30 teams in 10 countries across three continents, making it the most tested ball ever by adidas and ensuring that it is suited to all conditions. The technology incorporated is identical to the Tango 12 (UEFA Euro 2012™), Cafusa (FIFA Confederations Cup 2013) and the UEFA Champions League™ Match Ball. In addition, a new structural innovation with a unique symmetry of six identical panels alongside a different surface structure will provide improved grip, touch, stability and aerodynamics on the pitch.

Brazilian star Dani Alves said: "My first impression of Brazuca is of a ball that is fantastic and we’re going to have a lot of fun with it. adidas has created an incredible-looking ball fitting for a tournament as big as the FIFA World Cup. Most importantly it plays well on the ground and in the air. I'm sure all the players will love it. It's increased my levels of excitement even further and I honestly cannot wait for the opening game!”

FIFA World Cup™ winning Spanish captain Iker Casillas said: “Brazuca has a stunning design that feels inspired by Brazil. Now the ball has been launched the tournament feels a lot closer. I’m looking forward to playing in Brazil with a great ball. Hopefully with Brazuca we can get the same result as in 2010.”

UNITED BY PASSION

While the Brazuca brings the Brazilian fever alive, the passion for the game comes from the pride in supporting your team. For this edition of the FIFA World Cup, adidas introduces thelightest ever national team kits to deliver unmatched performance on the pitch. Inspired by the next generation of football fans and designed with the innovative adizero technology, the new kits for Spain, Germany and Argentina provides increased breathability and speed.
The design of the kits are based on interviews with the next generation of each nation, with adidas asking young people to express what made them proud of their country. The feedback gave strong feelings of national pride, history and hope, which were translated into stunning kit designs, set to ignite the passion of each country. The process was mirrored across each federation, creating seven individual stories and design themes.

Argentina: The kit takes its inspiration from the first ever half and half flag created by General Manuel Belgrano, one of the main liberators of Argentina and a great hero in South America. Argentina is incredibly proud of being independent, and it is now looking to its youth to drive the nation forward.

Germany: The new German kit is inspired by a sense of understated brilliance, and the value placed in quality and hard work. The German people view their national team in the same way as the leading industrial architecture that the nation prides itself on. Die Nationalmannschaft is the perfect ambassador for this notion of understated excellence and intelligence.

Spain: The red colour of the home jersey unites Spain, while the gold flashes symbolise the current golden era of Spanish football. The team is the current light of the country, creating role models for the youth of the country.
