
The designer presented her collection of 32 outfits on the opening day of the fashion week. Known for her quality workmanship & creative designs, Rinku Sobti created a line of festive wear collection keeping in mind the festive theme of Chennai International Fashion Week (CIFW) 2010. Commenting on her collection the designer said, “My collection is inspired by the garden of dream flowers which has very feminine, dreamy & romantic touch to it. The collection has both performance & wearibility.”
The collection featured an exclusive range of gowns, long & short dresses. The collection also featured Saris which had a very contemporary feel to it. The designer had very deliberately & cleverly evaded the regular embellishments at the same time the festive theme had not been lost in the collection of Saris. Floral patterns, beautiful embroidery work & lazer cuts dominated the collection in blue & purple shades. The collection was done in fabrics like jersey, silk, georgette & suede in delicate tones keeping in mind the festive season.
“My designs are very subtle & elegant which reflects the festive mood without being over the top,” said the designer. The collection was an ode to the beauty of feminine form, which has a contemporary feel to it. Pantaloons Femina Miss India Universe 2008 Simran Kaur Mundi, Priyanka Shah, Sakshi Bindra & few more models were seen showcasing her collection at CIFW 2010.
The collection will be available at her exclusive store in Vasant Kunj, Delhi.
