Ayush Choudhary takes his fascination for handwoven carpets a step further with the new ‘Urbane collection’ by Cocoon. This collection is a true amalgamation of the classical and nouveau schools of rug design. Silk motifs inspired from Italian wall coverings and baroque fabrics have been overlaid on Cocoon’s signature abstract patterns to create a stunning depth of design.

Perfection and smoothness can get a bit mundane for the eyes and for this reason, certain ornamental details in some of the designs have been deliberately broken up in some places, to make the carpets look more inspired and alive!
The character of these rugs is further enhanced by the interplay of different textures – abstract patterns in handspun, hightwist yarn and embossed motifs in silk, making these rugs truly very unique, very urbane!
