In the past, Villeroy & Boch has repeatedly met the respective prevailing taste with patterns such as ‘Wildrose’ or ‘French Garden’. With its new pattern ‘Helianthos’, which was developed specially for ‘Urban Nature’, Villeroy & Boch has now introduced a natural classic into modernity and reinterpreted it in using new styles and colours.

‘Helianthos’ has been designed as a special kind of floral composition: The hand-drawn sunflower and dahlia motifs have been vigorously and creatively realized in a trendsetting, modern pattern, whose central concept displays impressions of flowers in combination with graphic structures.

The range of colors has been chosen in keeping with the typical sunflower colors of yellow and brown and impressively highlighted using shades of blue, green and mauve. Impressions of extremely colorful individual blooms are applied to this basic pattern and independently isolated floral motifs created using graphic structures.

The main pattern combines all of the elements: subtle scatter motifs in the natural colors beige, light brown, soft green and soft yellow show the shadows and contours of single flowers. Individual tableware items show the various pattern elements in different varieties and intensities.
