The Paris Science and Industry Museum called "Cité des sciences et de l'industrie" (CSI) along with L'Oréal, the global leader in cosmetics, presents "Decoding The Hair" a fun-meets-science exhibition in Mumbai at the Nehru Science Centre from 18th December 2008 till 28th February 2009.

The exhibition was inaugurated by guest of honour Dr. Indu Shahani, Honorable Sheriff of Mumbai, Jacques Challes, Managing Director, L'Oréal India, Dinesh Dayal, COO, L'Oréal lndia, Ms Patricia Pineau Director - Research Communication, L'Oreal Group, Manekar, Director, Nehru Science Centre and Olivier Poublan, Project Manager – CSI.

Also present at the exhibition were members of the French community in Mumbai along with renowned celebrities, Tara Sharma, Samir Soni and hair expert, Hakim Aalim.

"Decoding the Hair" is a surprising, fun and instructive exhibition on a theme that is attractive by its familiarity, its universality, and its predominant place in our daily lives. It spans social sciences, life sciences, materials sciences, industry, technology and research.

Speaking at the launch of the exhibition, Mr Dinesh Dayal, COO, L'Oréal said, "Decoding the Hair" is an invitation to discover and explore a new world - the world of hair, as hidden under an ordinary exterior lies a rich and fascinating universe."

L'Oréal and the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie have partnered to bring this unique exhibition to India after travelling several countries. After a great success in Europe (in France, The Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Finland and United Kingdom), China and Taiwan, Latin America (Mexico City and Sao Paulo), and Russia (Moscow) "Decoding the Hair" will make its presence in Mumbai.
