Barack Obama invites Shahnaz Husain to honour

Shahnaz Husain has done India proud. Internationally acclaimed as the pioneer and leader of Ayurvedic Beauty Care, Shahnaz Husain had been invited to represent India at President Barack Obama’s prestigious Summit of Entrepreneurs which was held on 26th and 27th April in Washington DC.

The Summit of Entrepreneurs 2010, Washington DC was attended by President Obama himself, along with business leaders and high ranking U.S. officials. The first woman entrepreneur from India to be felicitated with this honor, President Barack Obama, expressed that he was really impressed with her unique business and marketing strategies.

Princess Shahnaz has been accepted as a case study at Harvard Business School as an example of career excellence and building an international global brand without using advertising. “Being selected for President Obama’s summit is a true recognition of my zeal and relentless efforts to promote brand India and Ayurveda worldwide. Representing India at the US Presidential Summit is the ultimate realization of my hopes, dreams and aspirations. The summit will be a historical event and I am proud to be part of it,” said Shahnaz.

On April 15th, she was invited by the prestigious Harvard Business School to lecture on The Harvard Course, “Changing the Game: Negotiation and Competitive Decision Making” which is part of Harvard’s Executive Education programme, where she addressed the students on “How she established an international brand without any commercial advertising or publicity”.

Even at a time, when there is cut - throat competition and the demand for products is sustained through commercial advertising, Shahnaz Husain has never relied on Advertising. Her lecture highlighted the strategies she had adopted to establish her global network of franchise ventures.

On 21st April, the Indian Consulate in New York hosted a press conference for Shahnaz Husain to brief the media on President Obama’s invitation to her for the Entrepreneurial summit in Washington DC.

She also briefed on what India’s 3000 year old Ayurvedic civilization has offered to the western cosmetic world. With cosmetic giants pumping billions of dollars into a hysterically mad cosmetic industry selling youth and dreams, to sell India’s ancient Ayurvedic civilization in a jar was not easy. Nevertheless, Shahnaz Husain managed to sell India’s brand image relentlessly with a crusader’s zeal.
