Kelebec, a chic and luxurious store known for its unique collection of outdoor furniture has opened its signature store in Alibaug.

Kelebec, which consists of 3,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, is located on the main road in Jirad, Alibaug. Kelebec houses truly inspirational pieces of furniture hand-picked from around the globe.  Kelebec brings together beautiful and unique outdoor furniture solutions, distinctive in design, and yet practical for all-weather day to day use.

The name “Kelebec” means butterfly in Turkish and is meant to connote sunny, outdoor, relaxed and beautiful. The store aims to primarily cater to second home/weekend home owners in areas such as Alibag, Karjat, and Khandala but the products can just as easily be delivered to cities like Mumbai and Pune as well.

Kelebec is designed as Mediterranean home, with its white stucco exterior, wooden shutters and tiled roof. The store consists of a large, airy indoor space with soaring beamed ceilings and numerous windows, and a charming, tree-filled outdoor courtyard, in the center of which lies one of Kelebec’s prized pieces, a 6-foot high stone Buddha head fountain.

Kelebec’s collections range from pool loungers, outdoor dining tables, benches, coffee tables, giant statues, water fountains and urns to suit varied weather conditions. They are made in a variety of materials such as teak wood, synthetic rattan, ceramic and stone.  The furniture is plush, sophisticated and fun, and will add a touch of glamour to any home. Designs are modern and trendy, yet classic. Besides furniture, Kelebec will also display smaller, eclectic collectibles in wood, metal and stone that are sure to delight and captivate.

Owned by Nymrata Advani Bickici and Yunus Bickici, Kelebec aims to become a leading outdoor furniture destination known for its quality products and aesthetic appeal. Commenting on her store opening, Nymrata said, “Our family owns a weekend home in Alibaug and while shopping for furniture for my home, I felt that there was a genuine need in the market for superior quality outdoor furniture that was both fun and functional and yet not exorbitantly expensive.”

Yunus adds, “Modern day consumer much like us do not want to compromise on style and quality products especially when it comes to something as personal as our weekend abode. Kelebec was a natural choice.”
