OVER 50,000 INDIANS HAVE SIGNED THE BODY SHOP STOP SEX TRAFFICKING PETITION

The Body Shop and ECPAT launched the Stop Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People Petition in INDIA on 27th August 2010. On the occasion, The Body Shop and ECPAT ASKED that every concerned person in the country show their solidarity against Sex Trafficking of Children and Young People by making a simultaneous “Big Stop” as a national sign of zero tolerance.

“Big Stop” was held at Select City Walk Mall, Saket, New Delhi where up to 150 number of media and associated NGOs were present which had celebrities Cristina Albertin (Representative – UNODC, Regional Office for South Asia), Actor & Social Worker Nafisa Ali, Actor Chitrangada Singh showing their support.

To put a “Big Stop” to Sex Trafficking, The Body Shop and ECPAT International are asking customers and supporters to go to their local The Body Shop store to sign The Stop Sex Trafficking Petition in a personalised way - by drawing or painting around their hand. Over 50,000 people from all over the country have signed the ‘Stop Sex Trafficking of Children & Young People Petition’ to raise their voice against sex trafficking.
