It’s that time of the year, when beauty gets set to adorn your walls. Shot in the most exotic locales, the Kingfisher Calendar 2009 is here again, promising to both scorch and soothe your senses for the next 12 months.

The Kingfisher Calendar 2009 promises to raise the bar with this new edition, which has been shot in the super exclusive Six Senses Hideaway Resorts at Koi Samui and Yao Noi.

Giving a true global appeal to the calendar, this year’s calendar features six models from across the globe. This year’s talent includes:  Tamara Moss Holland / India, Nargis Fakhri  Czech Republic / Pakistan, Mimi Blix Norway / Uganda, Katya Melnikova Russia, Moni Kangana Dutta India, Sunisa Jongsawat Thailand.

The models sport swimwear from some of the biggest brands in the world like Alberta Ferretti, Jean Paul Gaultier, Diane von Furstenberg with accessories from Lanvin, watches by Hamilton, eyewear by Fendi, and photographic equipment by Canon making this year’s calendar bigger, better and even more international!!

The globally acclaimed, multi-award winning, limited edition, Kingfisher Calendar 2009 is shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar bringing 12 months of sheer glitz and glamour. The Kingfisher Calendar 2009 is yet again an extraordinary combination of beauty, fashion and lifestyle, which comes together to create a magical spa for the soul.

“I briefed Atul to work in a space that would create images that were sensual yet understated. The accent was on simplicity and working with natural elements. With Kingfisher Airlines going global the time was right to source some of the finest modeling talent worldwide for 2009,” said Dr. Vijay Mallya.

Atul adds, “Given Dr. Mallya’s brief, the Six Senses Hideaways were the perfect locations for the 2009 edition given their amazingly simple yet luxurious properties. It is gratifying to find that some of the world’s most famous brands now partner with us every year as a matter of routine. That in itself is proof of the international recognition and respect that the calendar now commands. The images this year have been photographed for a graphic layout that has 2 images per page.
