Cotton Council International (CCI) presents a life time opportunity to aspiring fashion designers to hone and showcase their talent with Let’s Design, a unique design based reality show.

Aspiring designers will showcase their creativity by designing fashionable ensembles using the cotton fabric. CCI has partnered with Zoom, a leading entertainment and lifestyle channel, to discover the untapped fashion talent in the country.

Contestants will win themselves an opportunity to rub shoulders with the crème de la crème of the fashion world. A panel of expert judges including renowned fashion designers like Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Deepika Govind, Meera-Muzaffar Ali amongst other esteemed names will choose one lucky winner. 

Contestants, above the age of 18 years, can enter the contest online at www.allaboutcotton.com by filling a simple form and uploading their design sketches. Design submissions will be accepted until February 12, 2009. For further details, budding designers can log onto the website.

Commenting on Let’s Design, Sachit Bhatia, India Representative for Cotton Council International said, “Let’s Design offers an opportunity to all aspiring designers with a flair for designing to come forward and turn their dreams into reality by creating fashionable cotton garments.”

Design sketches sent by the participants will be short listed based on their talent and the creative use of cotton in their creations by an eminent panel of judges. The short listed participants will be invited for the regional rounds and four participants each from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalure and Kolkata would make it to the Reality week in New Delhi.

These participants will stay under one roof and will be given various on-the-spot tasks to test their skills, acumen and passion. Participants will be eliminated basis their performance during the tasks and the finalists will present their collection at a Grand Finale in the capital.

Partnering CCI in this unique initiative is Lakme Beauty Salon as a grooming partner.
