Styletag, India’s one of the first online curated fashion and lifestyle destination, from the house of ffolio, is going the extra mile by engaging 10 new fashion designers from Tier II & III markets. Styletag will encourage these 10 promising young talented fashion designers to compete with established names. This engagement will be a shot in the arm for the Indian fashion industry.

The new and young fashion designers’ whose creations will now be available on Styletag.com are Nida Mahmood, Khyati Pande, Meera Mahadevia, Sougat Paul, Karieshma Sarnaa, Priyanjali Ray, Nandita Thirani, Abhishek Dutta, and Pratik & Priyanka Jain. This move will help Styletag to cater to the evolving expectations of its large and growing customer base and will also help the designers to create designs that are in tandem with global fashion trends and domestic demand.

All the new designers that Styletag has roped in are fast etching out a solid niche for themselves in the Indian consumer mindscape. They have already cemented their reputation thanks to their stunning design sensibilities that combine exquisite embroideries and an eclectic mix of fabrics with a contemporary touch.

Commenting on the new line-up of designers, Sanjay Shroff, Founder & CEO, Styletag says, “With this move, we are essentially democratizing fashion and giving a chance to budding designers and brands to create a niche for themselves in line with current and next season trends. We are also concomitantly enhancing the choices for our discerning buyers. This tie up will give our customers more reasons to return to Styletag to fulfill all their fashion-related needs.”

The designers too, are happy to have bagged the opportunity to showcase their designs on a platform that enjoys as much reach and popularity as Styletag. Nida Mahmood, a self-taught artist and trained fashion designer whose aesthetics are in line with Indian kitsch, says, “My label epitomises my design philosophy of art translated in more ways than one. I’m pleased to be able to take this aesthetic to a larger audience with Styletag.”

Design graduate Khyati Pande, who worked her way into the fashion business by setting up her label, said, “Each of my designs is a crafted juxtapose of contrasting elements, unrestricted silhouettes and an eclectic mix of fabrics and textures that blend perfectly to bring out a character in clothing. With Styletag, my creations will enjoy a larger audience and I look forward to further fine-tuning my art in consonance with what my customers want.”

Currently with over 400 designers on board, Styletag has plans to add more names to its repertoire and to offer exclusive designs to its shoppers. The designs will be developed keeping in mind the modern Indian woman, her taste in ethnic designs and changing lifestyle patterns.  With prices starting from 399, Styletag has also started its offline kiosk ‘Stylecafe’ at Orion Mall, Bengaluru.

Styletag that sells nearly 5 to 10 Lakh products every week has witnessed a revenue growth of 35 percent in 2015-16 from 15 percent in the previous year. By adding fresh ensembles and new designers to its existing offering, the company is all set to become the only online destination that fashion lovers turn to for a wide spectrum of purchases.

About Styletag.com:

Based out of Bangalore and also currently operational in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai, Styletag.com was brought into existence in 2012 by Sanjay and Yashodhara Shroff along with three other technology professionals from the industry. This team of five identified a severe dearth in affordable and credible fashion available pan India, especially in Tier II & Tier III cities. Styletag is the liaison between the best of couture and affordable fashion. Styletag.com was simply a natural progression of an offline store to gravitate towards the online medium.

About ffolio:

Founded two decades ago, in 1991, by Yashodhara and Sanjay Shroff, ffolio was the first ever multi-designer luxury store in Southern India. The store has been synonymous with some of the finest couturiers and craftsmen from the sub-continent and has acted as the launch pad for several of India's leading fashion personalities such as JJ Valaya, Jason Cherian, Anamika Khanna, Priyadarshini Rao and Ashish Soni to name a few.
