In a special initiative for Mother’s Day, Gitanjali Jewels’ presented a generous donation to the NGO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of India. The cheque for Rs. 54, 609, was handed over to the NGO by charming Bollywood beauty Neetu Chandra on behalf of Gitanjali Jewels at the South Extension Gitanjali Jewels store in New Delhi.

As a pioneer of the initiative, Priyanka Sharma, General Manager-Retail (North) said, “It gives us immense pleasure to be a part of this noble gesture. I hope this initiative will help us bring a smile on a child’s face by making their wishes come true. With an NGO like Make-A-Wish Foundation  of India, I can see this happening and wish them all the best.”

Gitanjali Jewels contributed a sum of Rs 501 on every piece of jewellery purchased at all its stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chandigarh between May 8th to 10th. The money will be used by the NGO to help fulfil the wishes of children with life threatening illness.

“For a child with a life threatening illness, a wish experience can give back what the illness takes away, Hope, Strength and Joy. We appreciate Gitanjali Jewels endeavour to help us spread more smiles, ” said Mukul Gupte, CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of India.
