Designers Atsu and Azara redefine Indian Fashion at Milan Fashion Week

In a proud moment for the country, two of India’s talented upcoming designers Atsu and Azara showcased their Spring Summer collections with the likes of Cavalli, Armani, Prada and Versace at the recently concluded Milan Fashion Week.

The showcase was made possible through an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding signed between the prestigious Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, the apex fashion body of Italy that organizes the Milan Fashion Week, and Sumeet Nair through the Fashion Foundation of India.

As a part of this exclusive opportunity, the designers got show slots to present their collection at the main schedule of the Milan Fashion Week. At the same time other logistics were also provided for like models, venue etc.

Speaking about the show, Sumeet Nair, Managing Director, Prodigy Fashion said, “The Fashion Foundation of India is committed to its mission of taking Indian fashion to global destinations and creating a niche for Brand India. It is an honour to be associated with the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and to be associated with them. We look to strengthen this relationship through other initiatives in the future.”

An excited Atsu said, “This was a spectacular opportunity made available to us by the Fashion Foundation of India. We have been able to take our designs and present at the hub of global fashion, we couldn’t have asked for more.”

Alpana Mittal, from the designer duo Azara, added, “Showcasing at Milan is every designer’s dream come true which couldn’t have been possible for us without the Fashion Foundation of India. This event has opened several avenues for us to the international market and buyers.”

The fashion show by the designers was packed to a full house. The collection was well received by the buyers present from across the globe. The collection received great reviews from the media that pitched the collection as the ‘Fresh Folata of couture from the Young Spirit’.
