Sumona Silver, the branded 18ct silver line, has beautiful filigree and plate work with semi precious certified stones. This silver line has intricately worked chandbalis, jhumkas and chokkers, inspired by the old Bengal gharanas, which are made for women and silver cufflinks and sherwani buttons for men. There are two specific collections, which will be available at Kashish Infiore, Hughes Road Mumbai as well as Minerali at Linking Road, Bandra. These are ‘Romance’ & ‘Rainbow’ collection, which are considered as the classic examples of contemporary jewellery. These collections have intrinsic value as well as an unique aesthetic appeal. The South Sea pearl ‘Romance’ collection has the traditional Bengali chile kata work as surface ornamentation which is the diamond-cut ball motif that is popularin Eastern India. The black onyx and moonstone collection has delicate motifs derived from nature, which has flowers and leaves and has modern finish. This collection is where British Raj meets Art Deco. The ‘Rainbow’ collection comprises of green onyx, pearls and red corals. This collection puts a contemporary touch to classically inspired pieces by retaining the filigree feel but introducing bolder motifs.
