This summer, sunglass styles from the peace-and-love era are set to make a comeback in all its retro glory. Breakers lightweight frame is injection-molded into a comfortable 8-base curve with spring hinges on the temples to hug the face. The saddle-style nose bridge has embedded rubber pads for added stability. In addition to the PolarizedPlus2 lens technology, this style also features Maui Jim’s bi-gradient mirrors that offer added sun protection at the top and bottom of each lens,  basically; the lenses “squint” for you. The frame fits midsize to large face shapes with an eye size of 64 mm, bridge size of 17 mm, and temple length of 122 mm. The style comes in Matte Black with Neutral Grey lenses for bright sunny days; Matte Tortoise with HCL® Bronze lenses for variable light conditions; and Translucent Dark Grey with Maui HT™ lenses for a true throw-back look in any light condition.

This newest retro sunglasses from Maui Jim features the company’s proprietary MauiPure™ lenses which are the world’s clearest non-glass lenses that are ultra-lightweight, scratch- and impact-resistant. The hybrid, injection-molded, de-centered lenses are the lightest lens material in the Maui Jim portfolio and are optically clear (ABBE value of 50).  All Maui Jim lenses are packed with up to nine layers of patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology that has received the Seal of Recommendation from The Skin Cancer Foundation as the technology cuts 99.9 percent of glare and eliminates 100 percent of UVA and UVB rays.
