Forevermark Diamonds launches Manish Malhotra’s first ever fine jewellery design, crafted by Anmol Jewellers

Forevermark, the diamond brand from The De Beers Group of Companies unveiled its collaboration with designer Manish Malhotra, over a gala soirée hosted at The Imperial, New Delhi. The evening saw the launch of a pair of gorgeous, bridal chandelier earrings with spectacular Forevermark Diamonds designed by Manish Malhotra, under the expertise of Anmol Jewellers.

As part of the Forevermark Promise campaign, based on the brand’s promise of beauty, rarity and responsible sourcing, Manish Malhotra undertook the designing of his first range of fine diamond jewellery.

The inspiration behind the earrings was his interpretation of the vintage opulence of the well-travelled aristocracy of the 1930s and 1940s. He has combined the modern sensibilities of Forevermark to design this exquisite pair of chandelier earrings that add timelessness to a bride's look.

Crafted with brilliant Forevermark teardrop diamonds, the exquisite pair of chandelier earrings exuded a majestic old-world charm, whilst imbibing a delicate western influence combined with a distinct traditional Indian look.

The soirée began with guests, including Shweta Nanda, Natasha Nanda, Shalini and Sanjay Passi, Ramola Bachchan and Sunil Sethi, mingling over cocktails. It continued as Anusha Dandekar introduced the retrospective showcase of the Forevermark Promise Campaign and the creative collaboration with Manish Malhtora. The event culminated over a runway-show spotlighting jewellery crafted with Forevermark diamonds. Rikki Chatterjee looked surreal as she ended the show bedecked in the Forevermark chandelier earrings designed by Manish Malhotra. The evening came to an end with a soulful musical performance by Anusha Mani over dinner.

Manish Malhotra said; “A promise holds deep value in my heart. As an Indian designer it's my prerogative to explore our culture and heritage and my promise is to promote the rich traditions of art and design in our country. By associating with Forevermark, I want to mark another milestone in the world of design, keeping my promise alive.”

The piece took two months to come to fruition, and features 56 spectacular Forevermark diamonds, set in 18k rose gold with a combined carat weight of 10.43 carats.

A total of 2518 diamonds weighing in at 49.02 carats were set in 91.03 grams of 18k rose gold.

Ishu Datwani, of Anmol Jewellers, said, “We have always aspired to be the creator of trends and custodian of trust in the jewellery world. The collaboration with Manish Malhotra and Forevermark is a great step in that direction as they both pay heed to design, craftsmanship, selectivity and beauty."

Sachin Jain, President, Forevermark India commented, “Forevermark prides itself on working with experts who are as passionate about their area of expertise as we are about diamonds.  Manish Malhotra is undoubtedly one of the world’s great fashion talents and we are honoured that he has chosen to work with Forevermark diamonds for his first fine jewellery piece. He’s a brilliant designer, a thorough professional and conveys integrity in his work ethic. The collaboration with him and Anmol Jewellers has produced a stunning piece of diamond jewellery that Forevermark is extremely proud to showcase this evening.”

Every diamond is inscribed with a promise; a promise that it is beautiful, rare and responsibly sourced. Less than one per cent of the world’s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual number.

Forevermark is a diamond brand from the De Beers group of companies and as such, benefits from over 120 years of diamond expertise. These diamonds are carefully selected and come from sources committed to high standards; are beautifully crafted by a select group of diamantaires; and are exclusively available from select jewellers.

Forevermark inscription and grading:

Less than one per cent of the world’s diamonds are eligible to become a Forevermark diamond and be inscribed with the Forevermark icon and individual identification number.  Invisible to the naked eye, the inscription is made using bespoke technology from the De Beers group. It is also recorded on the personalised Forevermark identification card, which comes with each and every Forevermark diamond. The actual size of the inscription found on Forevermark diamonds is only 1/20th of a micron deep and can only be seen using a special Forevermark viewer which can be found in Authorised Forevermark Jewellers.  It is confirmed by leading gemmological institutes that the Forevermark inscription does not affect the internal quality of a diamond in any way.

Authorised Forevermark Jewellers are able to provide a Forevermark Diamond Grading Report.  It is an accurate blueprint of the qualities; cut, colour, clarity and caratage of each Forevermark diamond.  The Forevermark Diamond Grading Report also features the individual identification number inscribed on the diamond and a specifically designed security hologram, providing reassurance that the Forevermark Diamond Grading Report is valid and genuine.
