Prodigy Fashion, the most innovative and experienced fashion events organizer, has been selected by the Fashion and Design Promotion Council to present Indian Fashion to the discerning audience from both India and abroad.

While Fashion and Design Promotion Council announced its initiatives it was looking for a team that has the expertise and capability to conceptualize, organize, manage and execute world class large scale fashion weeks and events. Prodigy Fashion has an undisputed reputation of conceptualizing and executing the most progressive and cutting-edge fashion events as well as enjoys the goodwill of the industry. 

Speaking on the occasion Sumeet Nair, Managing Director of Prodigy Fashion and Principal of the forthcoming Fashion Week said, "While conceptualizing the Delhi Fashion Week, we had two key premises in mind; one that an independent jury will look into the selection of designers, slots and stall allocation to maintain quality of designers along with upholding the transparency of the entire process and second was to create a world class luxury event. The Fashion and Design Promotion Council has encouraged these as guiding forces for the new event that will be held under their aegis. Fashion and Design Promotion Council’s Fashion Week will continue to focus on luxury and creativity.” 

The affiliation is seen as a marriage of expertise with additional resources to strengthen the industry further. Prodigy Fashion with Sumeet Nair at the helm of affairs has the lineage of writing and executing the first blueprint of the Fashion Week in India. The team within the company is recognized for its innovative, out of the box thinking and for creating opportunities that change old paradigms and practices of conducting the business of fashion. 

“Over the last one year, Prodigy Fashion has collaborated with Rendezvous Paris and New York as well as with other international bodies to start exchange programs for Indian and international designers. Moving forward, we will bring these associations and partnerships to Fashion Design Promotion Council’s Fashion Week to build it into a strong international event,”  said Mr. Nair.
