Ambassador of France, Francois Richier in association with Ashish N Soni and Chivas 18 presented ‘Crafted for Gentlemen’

Chivas 18 premium Scotch whisky and Ashish N Soni in conjunction with the French Embassy introduced the concept of luxurious artisanal soirees titled ‘Crafted for Gentlemen’ to highlight the art of bespoke tailoring and its nuances as they are manifested through Ashish N Soni’s tailoring studio. The evening was hosted by the Ambassador of France to India, Francois Richier at his beautiful manor in New Delhi.
 
Explaining the concept of the programme, Ashish N Soni said, “Crafted for Gentlemen is an in-depth collaboration with Chivas 18 that has been conceptualised collectively over the past 6 months and I'm extremely proud of the end product. Whether it’s a whiskey or a bespoke suit, we really are speaking to the same audience; we are speaking to people who have reached a certain level of sophistication where they understand the things that are important to their lives and the things they want to spend time and money on. The purpose of this evening is to elucidate on the difference and conflict of Bespoke versus made to measure as well as to highlight the similarities in the skillful processes that are involved in crafting a well-blended whiskey or a well-fitting suit. Both arts require skills which are developed over time, matured and executed to perfection.”
 
To showcase this unique abstraction, Ashish N Soni and Chivas 18 screened a short film that highlighted the journey of bespoke services from when the concept was created to today. Accompanying this film was a well gestated installation of a fashion designers laboratory that showcased the creation of a bespoke suit and the services that comprise different components from its construction, assembly and even the various fabrics used at the Ashish N Soni artisanal studio.
 
The alliance with Chivas 18 is synchronous for this concept, as the multi-layered blended whisky has been specially crafted for Gentlemen, similar to the presentation that Ashish N Soni has created.  Chivas 18 is a uniquely rich and multi-layered blend that includes over twenty of Scotland’s rarest single malt Scotch whiskies. Meticulously blended by Master Blender Colin Scott, Chivas 18 rewards the senses with 85 flavor notes in every drop. Each sip is a new discovery. Not only is it aesthetically beautiful but is also modern, edgy and luxuriously complex.

To add to the savour of the evening, the head chefs of the French Embassy have personally orchestrated each and every preparation, to present an authentic and exclusive French meal in addition to the wonderful delicacies.  To compliment further to the artisanal soiree, Chivas 18 collaborated with Adil & Vasundhara. The jazz duo based out of New Delhi with Adil Manuel on the guitars and Vasundhara Vidalur with her compulsive vocals, added the perfect harmonious elevation to the evening.
