Raisons banarasi sari collection

Known since olden times for its delicate weaves, exquisite patterns, brilliant and bold colours, Raisons’ have come out with their new collection of banarasi saris. These have always been an inevitable, yet proud feature in every woman’s wardrobe. Its handloom provides niche and designer products to create a market among the youth and high-end consumers.

The weavers of Raisons have displayed their artistic splendour with this new collection. These banarasi saris are finely hand-woven, specifically in cora cotton. They have Mughal inspired motifs intricately intertwined in floral and leaf motifs. Woven entirely with hand, one can find them either in jaal pattern or individual motifs. The influence of royal Mughal architecture and culture is palpable in almost every sari.

Raisons have also designed hand-woven banarasi cotton fabric using the ancient ‘Kadua’ technique in contemporary fluorescent colours. These handlooms reflect the great weaving tradition of India and the beauty lies in the fact that each piece is unique and not duplicated, unlike printed and machine made saris. A variety of workmanship in different fabrics will make you look elegant and the pristine colours with subtle elements of innovation, makes it impossible for anyone to walk out with just one.

“The opulent festive colours radiate the finesse of this fabric to achieve a look that       cannot often be matched in elegance. It is a collection of traditional saris, which are very unique and incredibly ethnic. The Banaras panache is the weakness of connoisseurs and Raisons has always been known for its excellent tastes and undisputed command in aesthetics.” says, Gaurav Rai, designer and promoter of Raisons.

“A blend of traditional weaves like banarasi motifs with a combination of woven elements create a multitude of designs that will remain unmatched in their indigenousness for years to come. Women pick and choose what teases their imagination most. It is easy to fall in love more than once when it comes to hand-woven fabrics. Wedding colours, infinite textures and all that goes into defining ‘gorgeous’ is flaunted with each passing time at Raisons.” he added.
